Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires...courage.

newest info...

The latest bilirubin level came in and was 2 points below the first number they took...a great thing! Emma has been under the light since about 2 p.m. today, except for the 30 minutes I've been able to feed her every three hours. It's been difficult not to be able to spend time holding and enjoying her, but I know the more time spent under the lights at this point the better. The nurses have also been giving her supplemental formula to help speed the process of elimination...in short, the more she poops the better! ;)

I will be going home overnight, after the 11 p.m. feeding, to get some rest for tomorrow. The nurses will give her formula or expressed breast milk for those feedings.

We don't really have any idea yet when she'll come home...the number still has a long way to go before they will consider that. But it should be a matter of days...We will be back on to post more details once we have them. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

I am praying that God will touch her little body so you can all be together at home as soon as possible! Take care of yourself too!
